Dianne attended the Act One Writing for Film & Television Program in Hollywood, California, 2010.
Her short script, “A Cowboy’s Faith,” finaled in the 168 Project’s “Write of Passage” in 2010. This story was inspired by a true story in her book Deliver Me.
In late 2010 and early 2011, Dianne was contracted to work on and write on a feature-length film from a non-fiction optioned book. (That project is as yet unproduced.)
In February 2011 a group of classmates from her Act One class came to Dianne's house in Colorado and made a short film in one week (168 hours) titled "Steel City" for the 168 Film Project. They didn't place in the short film contest, but their film did premier in the 168 Film Festival.
In 2012 Dianne again participated in the 168 Film Project. This time she wrote, directed and co-produced (with her husband) her short film. You can see their film, “The Choice”on YouTube. It runs approx. 10 minutes. This story was also inspired by a true story in her book Deliver Me.
Dianne's feature script was a semifinalist in the Kairos Prize for Spiritually Uplifting Screenplays in January 2013.
